Reservations & Booking

When do reservations open for 2027?

Reservations through Campspot are open now. Doors open early 2027 — the exact opening date will be confirmed once construction is in its final stretch. Subscribe to the newsletter to be first to hear the opening weekend on-sale.

Where do I book a stay?

All reservations are through Campspot at campspot.com/book/islandcreek-camp-nc. Use the sticky booking widget on any page to set dates, party size, and jump straight in.

Can I hold a site without paying?

No formal hold without a deposit, but joining the newsletter waitlist gets you a 24-hour advance window on opening-season releases (Azalea Festival weekend, July 4, Halloween weekend, holiday weekends). That's the first-tier benefit.

What payment methods do you accept?

Campspot accepts all major credit cards and ACH.

Check-in & Check-out

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in opens at noon for RV sites. Check-out is 11am for RV sites. Early check-in or late check-out can be requested at booking — granted when site is available.

How do I get into the park?

Your gate code arrives by text 24 hours before your check-in. The front gate is keypad-only. If you arrive early, the camp store is open from 8am — park, stretch, grab a coffee.

Is there someone at the front desk?

Yes. The camp store / front desk is staffed 8am–8pm in season. After-hours arrivals use the gate code. Emergencies → call the after-hours line posted at the gate.

What if I arrive late?

Late arrivals are common. Use your gate code — it activates at 8am the day of check-in and stays good for 48 hours. Your site number and details will be in the gate text.

Site Types & Amenities

How big are the RV sites?

Pull-through sites are 100 feet long with 50-amp full hookups. Back-in sites are 50 feet. Every Standard site — pull-through or back-in — has a concrete patio and a fire ring. Vehicle parking is on your site pad only — the pull-throughs fit the largest rig plus a tow vehicle. Every site has a fire ring and picnic table; our eight Premier pull-throughs add a 12'x24' concrete patio, upgraded patio furniture, a decorative fire pit, and pond views. Built for the rigs people actually drive in 2026 — fifth wheels, toy haulers, big Class A's.

Do you have 50-amp service?

Yes — every RV site has 50-amp full hookups (water, sewer, 50A power). Cable and AccessParks Wi-Fi included.

Are there tent sites?

Primitive tent sites with a picnic table and fire ring. Tent sites do not have hookups. Planned for Phase 1.

What amenities are on-site?

The 3,750 sq ft clubhouse — with a large covered patio overlooking the pool and pond, a fitness room, a game room for kids, 7.5 bathrooms, and a large climate-controlled lounge. Plus an outdoor pool, one pickleball court, a playground with a real climbing structure, a walking trail that loops around the property, a fenced dog park, concierge laundry service, AccessParks Wi-Fi, food trucks Friday and Saturday nights, themed weekend programming, and a camp store.

Pets

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Up to two dogs per site, no breed restrictions, leashed at all times outside the dog park. The fenced dog park is free for guests. See the full Pet Policy page for details.

Is there a pet fee?

No. There are no pet fees at Island Creek.

Where can pets go in the park?

Everywhere except the pool deck, the playground, and inside the store. Specific restrictions and the fenced dog park hours are on the Pet Policy page.

Quiet Hours & Rules

What are quiet hours?

Quiet hours are 10pm to 7am. No generators, loud music, or unmuffled engines during those hours. The park is designed for families — including ones with young kids who need actual sleep.

Are campfires allowed?

Yes — in the decorative fire pit or fire ring provided at your site. Firewood is sold at the camp store (we ask that you don't bring outside wood — it spreads pests). No ground fires anywhere outside the ring.

Can I drink alcohol?

Yes, in your own site and at the pool deck (designated areas, in cans or plastic — no glass). North Carolina state law applies. No open containers on roads or trails. The park reserves the right to ask guests being disruptive to wrap it up.

Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations 14+ days before arrival: full refund minus a processing fee. 7–13 days: 50% refund. Less than 7 days: no refund. Themed weekend and holiday weekends may have stricter policies.

What if there's a hurricane or storm?

Coastal NC means storms happen. If the park issues a mandatory evacuation, you get a full refund or rebook credit good for 12 months — your call. We'd rather you be safe than penalized for evacuating.

Can I modify my reservation?

Yes — date changes are free up to 7 days before arrival, subject to availability. Use Campspot to manage your reservation or email doug@islandcreekcampground.com.

Snowbird & Extended Stays

Do you offer snowbird or extended stays?

Yes — we welcome snowbird guests November through February. Stays are booked up to 30 days at a time — get in touch and we'll help arrange a return booking. Rates are shown in Campspot at booking.

Can I work remotely from the park?

Yes. Park-wide AccessParks Wi-Fi is rated for video calls. Many of our snowbird guests work full-time from camp.

Groups & Events

Do you take group bookings?

Yes — family reunions, group RV rallies, wedding rehearsal stays, and corporate retreats. Reservable common areas and group details are on the Groups & Events page.

How big a group can you handle?

Up to 20 sites in a single grouped booking, plus access to a covered pavilion for meals and gatherings. Larger groups by request — reach out via the contact form.
